Welcome to the University of Idaho! Parking and Transportation Services would like to make parking for all our campus visitors as convenient as possible. The following information is intended to assist our visitors and guests by providing information about the parking system at the University of Idaho in order to contribute to a positive experience.
Parking permits are required for visitors and Parking Regulations are enforced at all times. Visitor permits can be obtained from the Visitor Center-Information Desk located in the Student Union Building (SUB) at 709 Deakin Avenue across from the Bookstore.
Visitor Parking Areas

• Visitor Parking is available in Lot 29 (across from SUB, North of Bookstore)
• Visitor Permits are also valid in any regular designated space in any colored lot
• Visitor Permits are NOT valid in any specially marked space such as: meters, timed
spaces, no parking zones, service/delivery spaces, disability spaces, reserved spaces
or
the campus walkway
• Overnight parking is available in all Silver, Purple, Magenta and Green Lots as well as
Blue Lots 30 (Facilities), 45 (Blake Avenue) and 60 (Sweet
Avenue) Overnight parking is
not permitted in Gold, Red and most Blue Lots, check
signage for clarification
ALWAYS TAKE NOTE OF THE SIGNAGE LOCATED AT ENTRANCES TO PARKING LOTS AND SIGNAGE LOCATED AT INDIVIDUAL PARKING SPACES
Visitor Permits
• Visitors are limited to a total of 12 visitor permits per year, upon reaching
this limit,
short term permits are available for purchase at the Parking Office
in the North Campus
Center
• Display permit on drivers side of dash
• Permit is
valid only for dates stamped
• Altering permits in any way is a violation and may
result in a citation
• Students, faculty and staff are not eligible for visitor permits
Vehicles displaying visitor permits are required to comply with University parking regulations as well as with city ordinances and state laws. Any citations received must be paid or appealed within 15 days of the citation date. See Section H in the parking regulations for appeal information.
